Wesley Walker – Entrepreneur, Visionary, and Cultural Curator

I was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, and from an early age, I was drawn to business, media, and culture. In middle school, I started downloading music, burning mixtapes, and selling them at school for a few dollars each. What began as a small hustle quickly turned into a deep appreciation for music, storytelling, and how culture moves people.

I attended Shades Valley High School, where football played a major role in my life. Influenced by my father, Hardy Walker, a former University of Alabama football player, I pursued the sport seriously throughout high school. As injuries continued to pile up, I made the difficult decision not to pursue football at the college level. That moment became a turning point, pushing me to think more intentionally about my future beyond sports and toward the creative and business paths that had always interested me.

I went on to attend the University of Alabama, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Management Information Systems and Marketing, along with a minor in Computing Technologies and Applications. While in college, I co-founded Riche Posse, a creative and promotion brand that began as a grassroots party promotion company and evolved into a platform focused on music, branding, and artist development. Building Riche Posse gave me hands-on experience in marketing, creative direction, and entrepreneurship, and allowed me to stay closely connected to music and culture in a real, practical way.

After completing my undergraduate degree, I worked in technical sales before fully committing to the entertainment industry. Along the way, I lived and worked in several major markets, including Tampa, Miami, and Las Vegas. Each of those experiences helped shape my perspective and deepened my understanding of how culture, media, and business intersect.

I later earned a Master of Science in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University. After graduating, I transitioned directly into Public Relations to strengthen my overall professional toolkit. I see PR as an essential skill set that complements my background in entertainment, allowing me to better tell stories, build brands, and communicate with intention across platforms.

Professionally, I am focused on working in the entertainment industry in roles such as A&R or artist management. I have a genuine love for music and for the process behind discovering, developing, and supporting artists. Labels like Quality Control Records and LVRN have been especially inspiring to me, not just for their success, but for how they understand culture, build community, and give artists space to be authentic. That approach continues to influence how I think about music, branding, and long-term career growth.

Everything I do sits at the intersection of music, business, and culture, and my work is driven by authenticity, consistency, and respect for the stories behind the artists and brands I support.
